§ 20-26-5-10-5

Each school corporation, charter school, and nonpublic school that employs one (1) or more employees, shall adopt a policy requiring the school employer of the school corporation, charter school, or nonpublic school to contact employment references and, if applicable, the most recent employer provided by a prospective employee, before the school corporation, charter school, or nonpublic school may hire the prospective employee.As added by P.L.185-2017, SEC.3.
