(a) The governing body of a school corporation may appropriate necessary funds to provide for membership of the school corporation in state and national associations of an educational nature that have as the associations' purpose the improvement of school governmental operations.(b) A school corporation may participate through designated representatives in the meetings and activities of the associations.
