(a) The parents of public school students not provided bus transportation by the school corporation may contract jointly with a school bus driver to provide transportation under a parents' supplemental transportation contract.(b) A parents' supplemental transportation contract is subject to the approval of the governing body of the school corporation where the students transported under the contract reside, and a school bus operated under the contract is under the supervision and direction of the governing body.[Pre-2005 Elementary and Secondary Education Recodification Citation: 20-9.1-2.5-2.]As added by P.L.1-2005, SEC.11.
