(b) At a case conference committee meeting, the committee shall start addressing decision making skills, which shall include a discussion of supported decision making and other alternative options or programs for the student in lieu of the appointment of a guardian and whether these options are necessary. The case conference committee shall include in the individualized education program or a plan developed under Section 504 of the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C. 794 notes relating to the discussion of alternative options or programs.As added by P.L.246-2023, SEC.39.
