The commission may adopt rules under IC 4-22-2:(1) to develop standards that govern the denial of assistance to higher education award applicants and recipients under IC 21-12-3-13;(2) to implement IC 21-12-6, including:(A) rules regarding the establishment of appeals procedures for individuals who become disqualified from the program under IC 21-12-6-9;(B) notwithstanding IC 21-12-6-5, rules that may include students who are in grades other than grade 6, 7, or 8 as eligible students; and(C) rules that allow a student described in IC 21-12-6-5(b) to become an eligible student while the student is in high school, if the student agrees to comply with the requirements set forth in IC 21-12-6-5(a)(4)(B) through IC 21-12-6-5(a)(4)(D) for not less than six (6) months after graduating from high school;(3) to implement IC 21-13-2; and(4) to implement:(A) IC 21-12-7; and(B) IC 21-14-5.As added by P.L.107-2012, SEC.58.
