(2) Damages as follows:(A) A sum of money:(i) to be determined by the court; but(ii) not less than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500);per violation to compensate the person for injury or loss caused by the violation.(B) If the court finds that the violation was intentional, an increased sum of money in an amount not to exceed three (3) times the amount that would otherwise be awarded under clause (A).(b) A court, in rendering a judgment in an action brought under this section, may award all or part of the costs of the action, including reasonable attorney's fees and witness fees, to the complainant in the action if the court determines that the award is appropriate.As added by P.L.221-2023, SEC.2.
