A person who recovers judgment for a violation of this chapter may recover, as part of that judgment: (1) any consequential damages; (2) interest at eight percent (8%) on the judgment; and (3) reasonable attorney's fees; unless the defendant proves that the plaintiff knew the facts concerning the violation, or that the defendant exercised reasonable care and did not know, or, if he had exercised reasonable care, would not have known, of the facts concerning the violation.Formerly: Acts 1975, P.L.262, SEC.1.
