§ 25-22-5-10-1

If:(1) a hospital;(2) a health maintenance organization issued a certificate of authority under IC 27-13;(3) a preferred provider organization licensed under IC 27-8-11;(4) a health insurance company; or(5) any other similarly licensed entity;requires a physician to be residency trained, board certified, or eligible for certification in a medical specialty, it shall include residency training or certification approved by a national association founded in 1897 that accredits residency training programs and certifying boards for osteopathic physicians as criteria that satisfy the requirement.As added by P.L.182-1997, SEC.1.
