As used in this chapter, 'licensed practical nurse' means a person who holds a valid license issued under this chapter or IC 25-42 and who functions at the direction of:(1) a registered nurse;(2) a physician with an unlimited license to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine;(3) a licensed dentist;(4) a licensed chiropractor;(5) a licensed optometrist; or(6) a licensed podiatrist;in the performance of activities commonly performed by practical nurses and requiring special knowledge or skill.As added by P.L.169-1985, SEC.65.
