§ 25-29-7-1

If after a physical or mental examination under IC 25-1-9-7 and a hearing, the board determines that a podiatrist is impaired from practicing podiatric medicine with reasonable skill and safety because of a mental illness, a physical illness, or an excessive use or habitual abuse of a controlled substance (as defined in IC 35-48-1-9) or alcohol the board may impose any of the following, singly or in combination:(1) Require the podiatrist to submit to care, counseling, or treatment that is acceptable to the board.(2) Suspend, limit, or restrict the podiatrist's license for the duration of the impairment.(3) Revoke the podiatrist's license.As added by P.L.33-1993, SEC.65.
