(a) The board shall enter into a contract with the state chemist under which:(1) the state chemist provides:(A) clerical support;(B) administrative support for the soil scientist registration fund established in section 9 of this chapter;(C) record keeping services; and(D) office space;to the board; and(2) the board pays compensation to the state chemist at a rate and at intervals set by the contract.(b) The contract entered into under this section may include provisions under which the state chemist, in exchange for compensation, fills needs of the board other than those described in subsection (a)(1).As added by P.L.244-2001, SEC.1.
