§ 27-1-4-1-4

As used in this chapter, 'insurer' has the same meaning as set forth in IC 27-1-2-3, except that the term:(1) refers only to domestic insurers (as defined in IC 27-1-36-8); and(2) does not include agencies, authorities, or instrumentalities of the United States, possessions and territories of the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, or a state or political subdivision of a state.As added by P.L.146-2015, SEC.19.
