As used in this chapter, 'plan sponsor' means an individual or entity that offers health insurance coverage to its employees or members through a self-funded health benefit plan, including:(1) a self-funded health benefit plan that complies with the federal Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) of 1974 (29 U.S.C. 1001 et seq.); and(2) a self-insurance program established under IC 5-10-8-7(b).As added by P.L.152-2024, SEC.13.
