As used in this chapter, 'health carrier' means the following entities:(1) An insurer, as defined in IC 27-1-2-3(x), that issues a policy of accident and sickness insurance, as defined in IC 27-8-5-1(a).(2) A health maintenance organization, as defined in IC 27-13-1-19.(3) A state employee health plan offered under IC 5-10-8.(4) A short term insurance plan (as defined by IC 27-8-5.9-3).As added by P.L.151-2021, SEC.15.
