§ 3-11-1-5-3-1

(b) A county may establish a precinct having less than six hundred (600) active voters if any of the following apply:(1) The precinct to be established would consist of an entire:(A) county commissioner district;(B) county council district;(C) township;(D) city;(E) town;(F) city common council district; or(G) town council district.(2) Establishing the precinct is required so that a boundary of a governmental entity or election district described in section 4 of this chapter is not crossed.(3) Establishing a precinct of less than six hundred (600) active voters would avoid establishing a split precinct.As added by P.L.278-2019, SEC.51.
