The ballots may be counted by an automatic tabulating machine or by special canvassing boards appointed by and under the direction of the county election board. A true copy of each paper absentee ballot may be made on a ballot card, which, after being verified in the presence of witnesses, shall be counted in the same manner as other ballot cards.[Pre-1986 Recodification Citation: 3-2-4-8.]As added by P.L.5-1986, SEC.8.
