If for any reason it becomes impracticable to count all or some of the ballot cards with automatic tabulating machines:(1) the precinct election board in which the machine is located, if the ballot card voting system is designed to allow the counting and tabulation of votes by the precinct election board; or(2) the county election board, if the ballot card voting system is not designed to allow the counting and tabulation of votes by the precinct election board;may direct that they be counted manually.[Pre-1986 Recodification Citation: 3-2-4-5(c) part.]As added by P.L.5-1986, SEC.8.
