(b) Each county chairman of a major political party of the county is entitled to nominate one (1) assistant poll clerk under section 9 of this chapter.(c) Except as provided in subsection (d), the assistant poll clerks must be voters of the county.(d) The county election board may permit a person who is not a voter to be an assistant poll clerk if the person is:(1) at least sixteen (16) years of age, but not more than seventeen (17) years of age; and(2) a resident of the county.[Pre-1986 Recodification Citations: 3-1-5-2(a) part; 3-1-5-5 part.]As added by P.L.5-1986, SEC.2.
