§ 3-7-34-2

(a) This section applies when a county voter registration office receives a registration form that is not fully and properly completed so that the county voter registration office can:(1) administer voter registration and other parts of the election process (as provided by 52 U.S.C. 20508); or(2) determine if the applicant is eligible to register under this article, including when the applicant fails to answer either of the questions set forth in IC 3-7-22-5(3) or IC 3-7-22-5(4).(b) As required by 52 U.S.C. 21083, the county voter registration office shall promptly make:(1) one (1) effort to contact the voter by mail if possible; and(2) one (1) effort to contact the voter by telephone if a telephone number is listed.As added by P.L.12-1995, SEC.44.
