§ 31-19-6-2

Not later than five (5) days after receiving a request under section 1 of this chapter, the Indiana department of health shall:(1) submit an affidavit to the attorney or agency verifying whether a record of a paternity determination has been filed under IC 31-14-9-2 concerning the child; and(2) search the putative father registry established by IC 31-19-5 and notify the attorney or agency, in compliance with IC 31-19-5-16 as to whether a putative father has:(A) registered concerning the child; or(B) filed a petition to establish paternity in relation to the child.[Pre-1997 Recodification Citation: 31-6-6.1-10.5(e).]As added by P.L.1-1997, SEC.11.
