(a) The department may grant a waiver of the twenty (20) day maximum stay for a child if the child caring institution licensed as a shelter care facility applies for the waiver before the expiration of the twenty (20) day period.(b) The child caring institution shall document in the request for a waiver that the waiver is in the best interest of the child.As added by P.L.145-2006, SEC.273.
