The record must remain with the child until:(1) the child is returned to the natural parents;(2) the child is adopted; or(3) a legal guardian is appointed for the child.(b) Unless otherwise prohibited by state or federal law, the local office shall provide a copy of the medical record to the child or the child's legal guardian after the child in need of services case or collaborative care case is closed.As added by P.L.145-2006, SEC.274.
