(a) Within five (5) days after the owner of a stray animal confined under section 4 of this chapter receives a notice under section 7 of this chapter, the owner may file a civil action to:(1) controvert the amount of damages assessed; or(2) deny the trespass.(b) If the owner of a stray animal confined under section 4 of this chapter files an action under subsection (a), the cause shall be docketed for trial.[Pre-2002 Recodification Citation: 32-10-2-9.]As added by P.L.2-2002, SEC.11.
