(b) The attorney general, with the consent of the respective organization under subdivision (1), agency under subdivision (2), or entity under subdivision (3), may deliver a medal or decoration described in subsection (a) to be held in custody for the owner, to:(1) a military veterans organization qualified under Section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code;(2) the agency that awarded the medal or decoration; or(3) a governmental entity.(c) Upon delivery under subsection (b), the attorney general is not responsible for safekeeping the medal or decoration.As added by P.L.141-2021, SEC.20.
