The jury assembly process must provide a uniform system of jury selection for the courts ensuring that:(1) persons selected for jury service are selected at random from a fair cross-section of the population of the area served by the courts; and(2) qualified citizens have the opportunity under this chapter to:(A) be considered for jury service in the county; and(B) fulfill their obligation to serve as jurors when summoned for that purpose.[Pre-2004 Recodification Citation: 33-4-11-9.]As added by P.L.98-2004, SEC.7.
