(b) A vacancy occurring among the members of the commission before the expiration of a term shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment. An appointment to fill a vacancy occurring before the expiration of a term is for the remainder of the unexpired term.(c) Each member of the commission who is a state employee is entitled to reimbursement for traveling expenses and other expenses actually incurred in connection with the member's duties, as provided in the state travel policies and procedures established by the Indiana department of administration and approved by the budget agency.(d) A member of the commission who is not a state employee is entitled to:(1) the minimum salary per diem provided by IC 4-10-11-2.1(b); and(2) reimbursement for mileage, traveling expenses, and other expenses actually incurred in connection with the member's duties, as provided in the state travel policies and procedures established by the Indiana department of administration and approved by the budget agency.(e) Each member of the commission who is a member of the general in the state travel policies and procedures established by the Indiana department of administration and approved by the budget agency.(e) Each member of the commission who is a member of the general assembly is entitled to receive the same per diem, mileage, and travel allowances paid to legislative members of interim study committees established by the legislative council. Per diem, mileage, and travel allowances paid under this subsection shall be paid from appropriations made to the legislative council or the legislative services agency.(f) Expenses paid under subsections (c) and (d) shall be paid from appropriations made to the commission.(g) The commission shall meet at least quarterly and at times called by the chairperson or at the request of three (3) commission members.[Pre-2004 Recodification Citation: 33-9-13-2.]As added by P.L.98-2004, SEC.19.
