(b) Except as provided in subsection (c), the secretary of state may attest to the authenticity of a signature or certify a signature of a notary public.(c) The secretary of state may not certify or attest to the signature of a notary public on a document regarding:(1) allegiance to a government or jurisdiction;(2) the relinquishment or renunciation of citizenship, military status, sovereignty, or world service authority; or(3) a claim of immunity from the jurisdiction of the United States, the laws of any state of the United States, or federal law.As added by P.L.128-2017, SEC.23.
