§ 34-11-7-1

If any person entitled to bring, or liable to, any action, dies before the expiration of the time limited for the action, the cause of action:(1) survives to or against the person's representatives; and(2) may be brought at any time after the expiration of the time limited within eighteen (18) months after the death of the person.[Pre-1998 Recodification Citation: 34-1-2-7.]As added by P.L.1-1998, SEC.6.
