(a) Neither the state nor a political subdivision (as defined in IC 36-1-2-13) may:(1) post bail for any person; or(2) for the purpose of posting bail for any person, provide a grant or other funding, directly or indirectly, to an entity that posts bail for any person.(b) A person that accepts donations for the purpose of depositing cash bail for another person may not accept a grant or other funding, directly or indirectly, from a political subdivision.As added by P.L.147-2022, SEC.5.
