This chapter applies when:(1) law enforcement officials have received a report of an alleged offense not later than five (5) days after the alleged offense occurred or was discovered, unless the prosecuting attorney having jurisdiction finds that the report was not made within the five (5) day period due to circumstances beyond the control of a victim of the alleged offense; and(2) a victim fully cooperates with and responds to reasonable requests from law enforcement officials and the prosecuting attorney.As added by P.L.139-1999, SEC.1.
