5-2.(2) 'Notarial officer' has the meaning set forth in IC 33-42-0.5-19.(b) A notarial officer who, with intent to defraud, knowingly or intentionally:(1) affixes a person's signature to a blank affidavit or certificate of acknowledgment; and(2) delivers that affidavit or certificate to another person;with the intent that it be used as an affidavit or acknowledgment commits notary fraud, a Level 6 felony.(c) A person who knowingly or intentionally uses an affidavit or certificate described in subsection (b) for any purpose commits notarial fraud, a Level 6 felony.As added by P.L.128-2017, SEC.26.
