An entity may not consider stocks and bonds as working capital unless market value, as determined or verified by the accountant, is given. Stocks and bonds shall be valued at the lesser of the book value or market. However, stocks or bonds listed on the New York Stock Exchange, American Stock Exchange, or over-the-counter on the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations list shall be valued at the market value.
