The petitioners in a county having a population of more than seventy-nine thousand (79,000) and less than eighty thousand (80,000) are exempt from:(1) the requirements of section 7(a) of this chapter; and(2) the requirements of section 7(b) of this chapter if the second or third class city is within a county containing a consolidated city.As added by Acts 1982, P.L.210, SEC.1.
