Official copies of the resolutions must be forwarded to the governor, who shall then appoint himself or herself, or a member of the governor's staff to immediately notify the other members of the commission and to act as temporary chair for the election of officers. The commission shall, by resolution, designate a name for itself that reflects the commission's role and function and that may include the words 'Regional Planning Commission'.(b) This subsection applies to each commission established after July 1, 1978.
