A police officer or firefighter who is a member of the police or fire department of a special service district is not subject to residency requirements but must:(1) have adequate means of transportation into the jurisdiction served by the member's department; and(2) maintain telephone service to communicate with the department.As added by P.L.122-2023, SEC.24.
