(b) A school resource officer is a member of the 1977 fund if the school resource officer:(1) meets the age limitation under section 7(a) of this chapter;(2) passes the baseline statewide physical and mental examinations required under section 19 of this chapter; and(3) meets the training requirements under IC 20-26-18.2-1.(c) Credit for prior service of a school resource officer who becomes a member of the 1977 fund under this section shall be determined under section 18 or 18.1 of this chapter. No service credit beyond that allowed under section 18 or 18.1 of this chapter may be recognized under the 1977 fund.As added by P.L.135-2024, SEC.13.
