If the legislative body finds that the issuance of bonds under this chapter will be of benefit to the health or welfare of the municipality and serves the public purpose set forth in section 2 of this chapter, it may adopt an ordinance approving the issuance of bonds under this chapter. The municipality may publish a notice of a hearing regarding the public purpose of the issuance of the bonds and any other matter and, if the notice is published, it shall be published in accordance with IC 5-3-1.As added by P.L.23-1984, SEC.18.
