(a) Not later than ninety (90) days after the filing and recording of the articles of association, the association shall hold a meeting of all owners of real property in the area described in the articles for the purpose of electing directors of the association.(b) At least twenty (20) days before the meeting, notice of the meeting shall be mailed, first class postage prepaid, to all owners of real property in the area described in the articles of association. The notice must set forth the following:(1) The time and place of the meeting.(2) The purpose of the meeting.(3) A general description of the nature and object of the association.(4) The amount of any membership fee and any annual dues.(5) Notice that an owner of real property may become a member of the association and be eligible to vote in the meeting, either in person or by authorized agent or attorney, by doing the following:(A) Signing a copy of the articles of association at any time before the commencement of the meeting.(B) Paying the membership fee, if any, and the dues for the first year, if any.(c) The notice under subsection (b) may be mailed to the owners of real property at the owners' addresses of the meeting.(B) Paying the membership fee, if any, and the dues for the first year, if any.(c) The notice under subsection (b) may be mailed to the owners of real property at the owners' addresses appearing upon the tax duplicates in the records of the county auditor.As added by P.L.98-1993, SEC.9.
