An application for employment may be rejected if the department determines that the applicant:(1) lacks any of the required qualifications;(2) is incapable of performing the essential functions of the position that the applicant is seeking;(3) has been convicted of a crime;(4) has been dismissed from the public service;(5) has made a false statement of a material fact; or(6) committed or attempted to commit a fraud or deception in connection with submitting an application or attempting to secure an appointment to the state civil service.As added by P.L.229-2011, SEC.56.
