'Sexual assault' means conduct that constitutes:(1) an offense under IC 35-42-4 (sex crimes) or IC 35-46-1-3 (incest);(2) an offense under the laws of:(A) the United States;(B) another state; or(C) an Indian tribe;that is substantially similar to an offense described in subdivision (1); or(3) an attempt or conspiracy to engage in conduct described in subdivision (1) or (2);regardless of whether the conduct results in criminal prosecution or whether the person who engages in the conduct is an adult.As added by P.L.133-2002, SEC.9.
