The same proceedings may be had on like grounds for the removal of a prosecuting attorney, except that the accusation must be delivered by the foreman of the grand jury to the clerk, and by the clerk to the judge of the circuit court or superior court of the county, who must thereupon notify the attorney general to act as prosecuting officer in the matter, and shall designate some resident attorney to act as assistant to the attorney general in such prosecution, whose compensation shall be fixed by the court and paid out of the county treasury.Formerly: Acts 1897, c.182, s.34.
