§ 5-9-3-2

Preference points awarded to such veterans on each such examination shall be ten percent (10%) of the total number of points which may be obtained thereon.(b) To be eligible to receive preference points, under this chapter, a person must have:(1) served on active duty in the armed forces of the United States for at least one hundred eighty-one (181) days; and(2) received an honorable discharge.(c) The provisions of this chapter are in lieu of any policy of a political subdivision allowing employment preference for veterans in effect before July 1, 1975.Formerly: Acts 1975, P.L.38, SEC.1.
