Each of the commissioners and every authorized agent has the power to administer oaths, certify to official acts, issue subpoenas, compel the attendance of witnesses, and compel the production of books, accounts, papers, records, documents, and testimony in pending proceedings of corporations and where relevant. In case of disobedience on the part of any person to comply with any order of the commission or any commissioner or any subpoena, or on the refusal of any witness to testify to any matter regarding which the person may be lawfully interrogated before the commission, or its authorized agent, it shall be the duty of the circuit or superior court of any county, on application of a commissioner, to compel the obedience to the requirements of a subpoena issued from that court or a refusal to testify in that court.As added by P.L.121-1987, SEC.17.
