A person who violates this section commits a Class B infraction.(b) Nothing in this chapter shall prevent any public utility from furnishing service free or at reduced rates to any of its employees and officers or retired employees and officers or from providing energy assistance to a heating assistance program administered under IC 4-4-33 to persons eligible for that assistance.Formerly: Acts 1913, c.76, s.114; Acts 1917, c.161, s.1; Acts 1967, c.2, s.1.
