The department may do and perform all reasonably necessary things to carry out the purposes of this chapter, whether specifically mentioned in this chapter or not, including the power, subject to the approval of the governor, to employ and fix the compensation of administrative law judges, investigators, clerks, and other employees as are necessary for the effective administration of this chapter.As added by P.L.99-1989, SEC.13.
