§ 8-22-3-11-6

(b) The legislative body of the consolidated city and the governing body of the airport authority may adopt substantially similar ordinances providing that the fire department of the airport authority is consolidated into the fire department of the consolidated city, and that the fire department of the consolidated city shall provide fire protection services for the airport authority. If ordinances are adopted under this section, the consolidation shall take effect on the date agreed to by the legislative body of the consolidated city and the governing body of the airport authority in the ordinances.(c) The legislative body of the consolidated city and the governing body of the airport authority may adopt substantially similar ordinances providing that the law enforcement services of the airport authority are consolidated into the consolidated law enforcement department of the consolidated city, and that the law enforcement department of the consolidated city shall provide law enforcement services for the airport authority.
