§ 8-6-2-1-12

The title to any lands, rights-of-way or other property acquired under and pursuant to the resolution, whether by purchase or by appropriation, shall not vest in the city until they are paid for out of the special fund created by the sale of bonds and from benefit assessments, or out of funds coming to the city from equitable settlements between the parties.
