'Motor vehicle liability policy' means an owner's policy of liability insurance or an operator's policy of liability insurance that:(1) is issued, except as provided in IC 9-25-5-10, by an insurance carrier duly authorized to transact business in Indiana to or for the benefit of the person named in the policy as insured; and(2) insures against liability resulting from the ownership, maintenance, use, or operation of a motor vehicle.[Pre-1991 Recodification Citation: 9-2-1-20.]As added by P.L.2-1991, SEC.1.
