If the bureau:(1) determines that a certificate of title is issued in error; or(2) receives notification from another state or country that a certificate of title for a vehicle that was issued by the bureau has been surrendered by the person that owns the vehicle in conformity with the laws of the other state or country;the bureau may cancel the record of certificate of title in Indiana.[Pre-1991 Recodification Citation: 9-1-3-10.]As added by P.L.2-1991, SEC.5.
