(a) Except as provided by subsection (b), this chapter applies to a motor vehicle that is used to provide transportation of passengers by a profit or nonprofit corporation if the corporation receives revenue for the transportation service from federal, state, or local governments.(b) This section does not apply to the following:(1) A motor vehicle that is manufactured to transport less than six (6) passengers.(2) A private bus (as defined in IC 9-13-2-133(a)).[Pre-1992 Title 12 Revision Citation: 12-1-7-17.5(a).]As added by P.L.2-1992, SEC.86.
